Youth Pool Easter Egg Hunt

Join us at the Scott County Family YMCA for a hopping good time of Easter family fun. We are hosting our 5th Annual Pool Easter Egg Hunt. Children will have the opportunity to search for eggs in our pool. Children will be separated into appropriate age groups and we will have searches for different ages at different times. Parents with children under 5 years old will have to get in the pool with their child. Once the children have collected their eggs they will be able to choose from a variety of prizes based on the eggs they have collected. We invite you to come out and enjoy an evening of egg hunting, prizes and refreshments.

Ages

Boys and Girls 3-12 years old
3-5 year olds: 6:30pm
6-8 year olds: 6:40pm
9:10 year olds: 6:50pm
11-12 year olds: 7:00pm
All times are approximate based on number of participants.

Spring Break Day Camp

Looking for a safe, fun and educational place for your child to spend their Spring Break? Have them travel around the world at the Scott County Family YMCA. This camp will take your child on a journey around the globe while teaching them the different geographies and customs of those countries.  The Scott County Family YMCA is offering day camp during SCSD2 Spring Break. Each day the camp activities will follow the theme. Everyday they will take part in swimming, games, education learning, crafts, and team work.

5-14 years old

March 26-March 30

Camp Activities: 9:00am-4:00pm

Before & After Camp Care: 7:00a,-6:00pm

Field trip on March 28 (space limited)

Registration

Members: $75/week per camper or $20/day per camper

Nonmembers: $95/week per camper or $24/day per camper

Reminders

  • Child will  need swim wear daily
  • Children will need to bring their own lunch
  • Financial assistance is available to qualifying families
  • Child must bring with them tennis/closed toe shoes to participate in activities
  • All electronic devices must be left at home
  • Adults must be listed as a pickup person and will be required to show a photo ID in order to pick up a child

TRI-AT-THE-Y

Indoor Spring Triathlon

Have you ever wanted to complete a triathlon?  Our Y is offering a spring incentive for our members to be able to complete the mileage of and Ironman Triathlon.  Members will have six weeks to complete the 2.4 (85)laps mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run.  Participants will keep a daily log of their activity and Y staff will keep track of your total miles.  Medals will be given depending on the number of events completed:  Gold if all events are completed.  There will also be special awards for the first three finishers, and everyone who registers before March 14th will receive a t-shirt.

Swim Lessons

 

Your child will gain confidence and learn lifesaving skills with our swim lessons.  Group lessons are available by age and swimming ability.  Swim lessons consists of 6 group lessons that are once a week for 6 weeks.  Make-up lessons will only be offered due to a YMCA cancellation or pool closure.  Register by Jan. 5, 2018

BUS TRIP

Gasthof Amish Village and French Lick/West Baden

Join us as we travel by luxury motor coach from the Scott County Family YMCA to Wagler’s Quilts n Montgomery, IN. Our second stop will be the Gasthof Amish Village for a wonderful buffet lunch, followed by plenty of free time to visit the shops and flea market. We will then depart for French Lick Resort and Casino where we will stay for approximately 3 hours to visit the casino, town and resort.
