To sign up for swim lessons, simply come to the Membership Help Desk and fill out a registration form (or download one here). If your child has never been to class before, they will be started at the lowest level of their age group and then evaluated at the first lesson to see if they need to be placed at another level.

PARENT / CHILD PROGRAM (ages 6-36 months)

This program develops water comfort and aquatic readiness for children. Children in this program swim with a parent.

PRESCHOOL SWIM LESSONS (3 – 5 years)

This program teaches water adjustment and basic swimming skills for children. Children in this program swim with the instructor.

Pike – New swimmer

Develop safe pool behavior, adjustments to water, basic paddle, and floating skills.

Eel – Advanced beginner

Child is comfortable in the water. Swimmer is taught to kick, dive, float and paddle stroke.

YOUTH SWIM LESSONS

(ages 6 12)

This program allows each child to advance at his or her own pace. Students are grouped by ability levels.

Polliwog - Beginner

Students become acquainted with water, floatation devices, and the pool. Paddle stroke, side stroke and back paddle are taught.

Guppy – Advanced Beginner

Floating, treading water, crawl stroke, paddle stroke and the introduction of the elementary backstroke.

Further refinement of front and back crawl, sidestroke, breast stroke and 25 yard endurance.
